Meet Polly

I love Minnesota!

I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota. I am the oldest of four. My childhood was spent going to the beach on Park Point, roller skating and going to stock car races in Proctor. I started my first job at Guppy's Pike Lake Drive-Inn making huge onion rings at 15 years old.

As a family my parents took us camping in the beautiful state parks of Minnesota. When I turned 16, my dad found a used car for me to drive, it was a 1968 Ford Galaxy! However, he didn't pay for it, he arranged with the Duluth National Bank for me to make payments each month.

I have lived in the Coon Rapids/Andover area for over 22 years. My husband and I raised our five children in our wonderful community. My boys played hockey for Coon Rapids and soccer, basketball, and baseball at Meadow Creek (now Legacy). I was blessed to be a 'soccer mom' running kids to practices and games. It was during those years I was also elected as the Vice Chair of our Senate District and volunteered for many candidates: door knocking to get conservative leaders elected to represent our area and spent many days working at the Anoka County Fair in support of our local candidates.

My career experience includes teaching computer software classes at Anoka Hennepin School District and I currently work in Special Education in a neighboring school district. I am actively involved with what is taught in the classroom and the future of our schools, it is a privilege to work with students. They share with me a unique perspective on life and give me hope for our future generations.
